The Award-Winning All-Rounder – Crisp, Sweet, and Easy to Grow.

Yuki F1 is widely regarded as one of the most reliable Chinese Cabbages (also known as Chinese Leaves) available to the home gardener. Holding the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit, this variety is celebrated for its vigorous growth, early maturity, and exceptional culinary quality.

Each pack contains 150 seeds, producing short, barrel-shaped (cylindrical) heads that are tightly wrapped and heavy for their size. The leaves are a beautiful pale green, offering a crisp texture and a delicate, subtle flavor that is far milder than traditional European cabbages. Whether you’re shredding it raw for a refreshing slaw or adding it to a quick stir-fry, Yuki F1 maintains its sweetness and crunch.

Why 'Yuki F1' is a garden essential:

  • RHS Award of Garden Merit: Proven performance for yield, flavor, and reliability in the garden.

  • Slow to Bolt: Specially bred for stability, making it easier to grow during the fluctuating temperatures of spring and summer.

  • Excellent Disease Resistance: Naturally robust against common brassica issues, ensuring a healthy crop.

  • Compact & Fast: Ideal for smaller vegetable plots, maturing quickly for a fast turnaround.

Growing Instructions

  • Variety: Yuki F1 (Chinese Cabbage)

  • Pack Size: 150 Seeds

  • Position: Full Sun; prefers fertile, moisture-retentive soil.

  • Sow Outdoors: April to July.

  • Sowing Depth: 1.3cm (0.5in).

  • Spacing: 30–35cm (12–14in) between plants.

  • Harvest: July to October (approx. 100 days from sowing).

Gardener’s Tip: To prevent bolting and deter flea beetles, keep the soil consistently moist. If you thin your seedlings, don't throw them away—the thinnings are delicious when eaten raw as tender salad leaves!
