Growing Instructions

• Position: Full Sun; light, stone-free soil.

• Sow Outdoors: April to July.

• Sowing Depth: 1cm - 2cm (0.5 - 0.75in).

• Spacing: Rows 30cm apart; thin to 5cm - 10cm (2 - 4in) for large roots.

• Harvest: August to November (or leave in ground through winter).

Gardener’s Tip: Never grow Autumn King 2 on recently manured ground, as this causes the roots to "fork." For the straightest, longest exhibition-style carrots, use a bed that was manured for a previous crop. To deter carrot fly, earth up the soil around the shoulders to prevent them from turning green and to hide the scent.
