The "Workhorse" of the Vegetable Plot.
Stanley is one of the most popular dwarf French beans in the UK, prized for its reliability and massive yields. Awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit, it has been officially recognised for its excellent garden performance and high-quality pods.
This variety produces white flowers followed by heavy clusters of straight, mid-green pods that reach about 14cm in length. What makes Stanley truly stand out is its tidy, upright habit; it holds its pods well clear of the soil, making them easy to see and even easier to harvest. It is also a "white-seeded" variety, which many gardeners prefer for its clean look and excellent freezing qualities.
Why 'Stanley' is a Garden Essential:
-
RHS Award of Garden Merit: Guaranteed reliability and high performance in British gardens.
-
Massive Harvests: One of the heaviest cropping dwarf varieties available today.
-
Strong & Upright: Holds pods high off the ground, keeping them clean and reducing the risk of rot.
-
Top-Tier Disease Resistance: High resistance to Halo Blight and Anthracnose, ensuring your plants stay healthy and productive for longer.
