A Time-Tested Favorite for Reliable, Sweet Harvests.

Tendergreen is a legendary heirloom variety that has earned its place in kitchen gardens worldwide. Renowned for being almost entirely stringless, it produces heavy crops of smooth, succulent, and meaty pods that have a wonderful, buttery flavor when cooked.

Each pack contains 150 seeds, offering exceptional value for a variety that is famous for its vigor. Unlike some more delicate French beans, Tendergreen is notably heat-tolerant and resilient, often continuing to produce pods during hot spells when other varieties might struggle. The pods are a beautiful deep green, usually reaching 15cm (6in) in length, and stay tender for a surprisingly long time on the plant.

Why 'Tendergreen' is a Must-Grow:

  • Genuinely Stringless: Living up to its name, these beans remain smooth and fiber-free even as they mature.

  • Resilient Performer: Excellent heat tolerance and resistance to Bean Mosaic Virus, making it a "safe bet" for any garden.

  • Classic Flavor: Offers that traditional, rich green bean taste that is perfect for steaming, stir-fries, or preserving.

  • Vigorous Growth: Bushy plants provide a dense canopy that helps suppress weeds and protect the heavy clusters of beans.
