Equine Gallops & Polo

Our Equine Gallops & Polo mixture is a professional-grade seed blend formulated for racing gallops, polo fields, and any area where horses work at intensity. Blended using certified varieties from Germinal and DLF Seeds — two of the UK's leading grass seed breeders — this mix produces a dense, springy sward that withstands frequent, heavy use with minimal damage and rapid recovery.

At the heart of this mixture is Tetragame, a DLF 4turf® tetraploid perennial ryegrass. 4turf® varieties carry four sets of chromosomes rather than the standard two, producing bigger, more energy-rich cells with greater chlorophyll content. The result is a turf that establishes faster, roots deeper, recovers quicker, and stays greener for longer — even under the stresses of drought, cold, and heavy use.
