A newly recommended variety this year, Hinsta is one of a new generation of hybrids from KWS which include bolt on traits that the innovative farmer expects. Hinsta is recommended in the East/West regions only with a high gross output of 106% and high oil content of 46.1%. It has medium maturity, later to flower, has the pod shatter gene and good resistance to lodging (8.0). Hinsta has above average early vigour. With regards to disease resistance Hinsta has a strong package with a 7 for Light Leaf spot and 5 for stem canker, as well as resistance to TuYV. Trials have shown that Hinsta has outstanding tolerance to Verticillium Stem Stripe.
