Equine - Horse and Pony

Our equine grass seed mixtures are sourced from leading British seed breeders Germinal and DLF Seeds, and are available in four blends to suit different paddock needs.

Horse and Pony (5+ years)

A long-term proven paddock mix for year-round grazing, with the option to take a hay cut if conserved. A reliable, hardwearing blend built around perennial ryegrass and creeping red fescue. Sowing rate: 13kg/acre.

Horse and Pony Plus (5+ years)

Our premium long-term paddock mix, designed for a full season's grazing with the flexibility of a hay cut. The addition of smooth stalked meadow grass improves performance on stress-prone sites. Sowing rate: 14kg/acre.

Horse and Pony Rye Free (5+ years)

A persistent, diverse mixture with lower sugar and protein content — a good alternative to ryegrass-based blends for horses prone to laminitis. Takes longer to establish but offers excellent long-term resilience. Sowing rate: 13kg/acre.

Equine Gallops

Specially formulated for exercise and working areas, this mix produces a dense, springy sward that withstands frequent use with minimal damage. Ideal for gallops, lunging circles, and high-traffic paddock areas. Sowing rate: 20kg/acre.
